Patti J. Smith serves as Assistant Director of Rachel’s Hope Healing Ministry, providing retreats and programs for pregnancy loss, understanding anger, and increasing self-esteem. She also serves as Co-Regional Coordinator for ACTheals (formerly the Association of Christian Therapists). She recently received her certificate of completion from Dr. H. Norman Wright’s Institute of Grief, Crisis & Trauma Response and has published Christian devotionals as well as articles in the National Catholic Register, Life News and the Southern Cross.     

She is a Catholic convert, baptized into the faith in 2006.  Since her baptism, she has become an ardent defender of life, the faith and speaks out against church leaders misrepresenting the teachings of the church as well as pro-choice politicians and other abortion advocates.Patti shares her abortion experience as well as her  journey from a life of sinful excess to redemption across the country including in the offices of members of Congress, on the steps of the Supreme Court, at the San Diego Walk for Life, West Coast Walk for Life in San Francisco, youth confirmation retreats and conferences.  She has been a guest on many radio shows including Immaculate Heart Radio, Radio Maria, Cradle My Heart and Abortion Hurts/God Heals and Life Dynamics.  She also appears in two documentaries, “The Sidewalk Chronicles” and “Hush.” Whatever the venue, she holds nothing back.  

Born to a military family in Wimpole Park, England she traveled extensively during her childhood. She worked for the federal government as an auditor for the Department of Labor and Veteran's Administration Offices of Inspector General, served ten years in the U.S. Army Reserves and recently retired as a background investigator.  She currently lives in DeFuniak Springs, Florida with her husband, Michael.
